SERVICES & PRICING

A current pool safety certificate is required:

• If you are selling your house
• If members of the public enter your property, for example for AirBnB or other holiday letting, family day care, student hoemstays, foster care etc
• If you own a rental property and your tenant signs a new lease
• At all times for a body corporate shared pool, or any other type of shared pool

Pool safety certificates are valid for 2 years for private pools and 1 year for shared pools.

Pool Safety Inspection $150, QBCC Certificate $47.30 (QLD Govt fee)

• You can check if your pool already has a valid certificate on the QBCC Pool Safety Register.
• You can see if your barrier has any of the most common problems by using our checklist.
• Feel free to call or send us photos of anything you’re unsure of and we'll provide free advice
• Book your inspection by calling 0410 066 006 or e-mail us at iain@brisbanepoolcertificates.com.au
• The inspection lasts around 20 minutes. If we can access the pool you are not required to be home at the time, unless house windows form part of the barrier.
• 30 minutes of free basic repairs is also included - gate tensioning, latch adjustments, tree and vegetation trimming, replacing missing barrier bolts, replacing timber palings, repositioning CPR sign etc. Read more...
• If your pool passes, a form 23 ‘Pool Safety Certificate’ is issued
• If your pool fails, we are able to carry out repairs to the barrier (often on the spot), or we can provide a full report on the failed items & suggest solutions for you to fix yourself.
• If we carry out the required barrier repairs, there is no re-inspection fee.
• Note: a $30 surcharge applies to properties that have been issued with a council remedy notice.

Barrier Repairs

• We are licenced to carry out repairs to safety barriers, gates and non-climbable zones around the barrier.
• Reasonable price

Pool Re-inspection $60

• If the initial inspection fails, and you're organising the repairs yourself, a form 26 ‘Pool Safety Nonconformity Notice’ is issued
• You have 90 days to carry out the repairs and arrange a re-inspection. Please note: This must be with the same pool inspection service.

Pool Barrier Safety Consultations $100 (30 mins) $150 (30-60 mins)

• Replacement barriers: Find out what you can and can't do when replacing your current barrier. Determine the best barrier design for you and your property.
